Good Wax

Good Wax. Took quite a bit of testing for our jars that we use. But we finally nailed and are pleased with the outcomes. We were having tunneling, deep and large holes next to wick, and of course the rough tops which is an outcome of soy wax.

For Test Burns: CD Wicks used and we use 1.75oz of FO in 22.5oz jar. We heat to 185 degrees, add FO, stir very slowly for 2 minutes and Pour at 170-175. Pour very, very, slowly which helped the issue of holes next to the wick. We do a second pour and the reason is, after the first pour we take a long craft stick (chop stick) and poke in and around the wick to make sure there are no air gaps. The reheat saved wax (enough for about an inch) and do a second pour, again very, very slowly. The result of the candle has more of a smooth top, a little bumpy but no near as bad as a one pour.

Burn Test: We let cure for 1 week and CT/HT were ok. Second test cure a full two weeks and there was an amazing difference in how strong the CT/HT were. The overall performance of the candle was great. This wax can be finicky. You have to be patient with this wax. When it says pour slow - pour slow and let it cure for two weeks. I know some say you can test in 2-3 days. This was a problem for us. Let it cure for two weeks and I can't express enough how much better the wax performed in all areas.
